The antimicrobial covers are easily removed and machine washable on the Akkulift bath lift. They are very soft and make add to the pleasure of the bath. The hand control is the lightest on the market, very pleasant for fingers that have a hard time grasping things. The control is water proof and floats. The suction cups have an "easy release" so that the lift can come out of the tub in seconds. German engineering and manufacturing make the Akkulift bath lift a great product. The Akulift has been installed and my wife loves it. Only problem we have is that our tub has a non-slip surface, therefor the suction cups do not have adequate suction to stabilize the lift. We compensate for this "problem" by having me hold the chair during entry/exit, so we are completely satisfied.

Yes we did receive the chairs and the "dry" run was terrific before using them. One was a gift for my grandmother that is 84 and who had a stroke in her 40's that left her paralyzed on the right side and 8 years ago she could no longer get out of the tub after getting in so they had to use just a tub chair that did not let her enjoy the soaking in the tub she so enjoyed. Then just a couple years ago she had fallen and that required hip surgery so sponge baths were more often than even just the seat shower. She lives with my aunt who has taken care of her for the past 15-20 years and when I had seen these chairs and started my research I knew that I needed to buy one not just to help my grandmother but also for my aunt who has given of herself for so many years. So on Sunday the 27th of January I received a message on my answering machine stating that my grandmother had her "first" bath in 8 years and she didn't want to get out. After talking to my aunt the excitement in her voice said it all, both my grandmother and my aunt have benefited from this lift chair the enjoyment of a bath again and the strain off my aunt of lifting my grand mother is over. Thank you and your company for providing these chairs at a cost that is affordable and that I found cheaper from you than other dealers for the same chair. Good morning John,

John: The physical therapist at a large local hospital has never
heard of a bath tub lift like yours. I am sending her some
information we had left from when we bought ours. I also included
your card. We tell a lot of people and are surprised that no one has
seen such a thing. My wife uses hers daily as she was never a shower
person.

We are very pleased with the Akkulift bathtub lift. My mother can once again enjoy a soak in the tub. She is very physically challenged and we have been struggling to get her in and out of the shower, just to get her in was quite a feat. And then to keep her standing was almost impossible. She now enjoys a "sit down" bath and I know she is much more comfortable sitting in a chair that makes her bath more relaxing and easier. Its a great product.
