Dear John,

Finally installed the chairlift. Took three people about three hours to completely install. The most time consuming task was installing an electrical outlet in the floor at the top. Storage area under stairwell and landing made it manageable. Moved unit away from wall to leave handrail on both sides and to completely avoid radiator at top. We received the Bath Tub Lift on April 4th. After charging the battery for the recommended 3 hours, I put the lift into the tub. My wife tried it out on a dry run and everything works fine. The lift comes back up to a comfortable level for her to stand and then step out of the tub. As she has a problem standing for any lentgh of time it is difficult for her to use the shower. She also cannot rise from a sitting position. WIth the Bath Tub Lift she is now able to take a nice long soak in the tub.

I just wanted to send you a note of appreciation. I ordered a Summit stair lift from you and installed it myself without issue. I responded to your on-line store and confirmed my order via telephone with you; the lift arrived in three cartons, via UPS, in a few days.

I unpacked the components and familiarized myself with the installation needs after work the evening that it arrived. The next evening I assembled the track and positioned the power unit in a couple of hours by myself. I positioned the power unit before securing the track to the stairs to be sure that the seatback would clear the existing hand rail. The next evening it took about one hour to route the cables in the track, adjust the seat angle and test the operation – everything worked perfectly.

My mother-in-law, Charlotte, will be 100 next February and will not trade her top floor bedroom in our multi-level home for a more accessible location. Although she can still negotiate the main stairs (14 steps), it is a major task. The stair lift gives her the freedom to enjoy our entire home and the flexibility to do so when we may not be available to assist her. She negotiates the lesser level separations with her walker.

It was a real pleasure to have the stair lift delivered in a timely manner, with a follow-up telephone call from you the next day to make sure I was satisfied. The lift itself is of amazingly high quality; especially as it is apparently the lowest price lift on the market. The installation was easily completed without any problems or assistance; most important of all, Charlotte is thrilled and uses it with confidence.

Sorry we didn't get back to you sooner! The Stairlift arrived as fast as we'd hoped it would, and was installed by the two of us about 3 days later, on one of our days off. Everything went exactly as it should have--my husband and I took test rides early on the day after the initial installation. The one thing we decided after using just enough bolts to hold the track, etc. securely enough to the stairs was that much shorter bolts would be better, so Steve bought some and we used them to finish up the second morning (the ones supplied were twice the length needed to go through the treads).

We'll be moving Mom here in about 2 weeks, and she was very pleased to hear that she won't have to worry about the stairs! Thanks so much for your help with our questions, and being so prompt with our order. We are in agreement with your other testimonial letters!

Thank you so much for your quick response to questions and super fast
processing of our order. I placed an order with you on a Monday morning for
a stair lift and a bath lift. The bath lift was delivered on Wednesday and
the stair lift was delivered on Friday. I installed both units myself
without any difficulties. The bath lift took just minutes to install. Due to
some mental and pretty bad physical problems, my son, who loves to take a
bubble bath, has only been able to sit on a shower stool and get a shower
for a little over a year. My son was very happy Wednesday night when we put
him on his new bath lift and lowered him into a bubble bath. The stair lift
took me just a few hours to install. My 13 year old mentally and physically
handicapped son has already learned how to operate the stair lift with
minimal assistance and he enjoys riding it up and down the stairs. My wife

The stairlift was easier that it looked to install. Although I wouldn't suggest you do it by yourself, I was able to put it all together and get it installed in about 5 hours. The motor/rail assembly was a little tough to attach due to the weight, which is why I suggest an extra helper. BUT this Harry Homeowner was able to follow the directions and get it done with no hitches whatsoever. The biggest suggestion I can make is to read the the simple and short install manual. Reading and getting familiar with the install instructions in the manual was paramount to doing this right. Also, the communications with John was a big plus in knowing that I had good customer support.

The Summit stair lift arrived and I got it installed. I didn't think it was hard at all as long as you follow the directions and take it step by step. Scott and I have each tried it out and I used it to carry the
vacuum as I cleaned the steps. So far I am impressed with it. The next thing I have to do is make a platform for Mo, our dog, and start working with her to get her to ride it. Keep your fingers crossed!

Hi John: Received the Stair Lift on 2/16/07...installed it 2/19/07 (by my workmen already doing refurbishing/painting our 50 year old home).

Everything (3 boxes) arrived "un-damaged"...instructions were easy to follow...all went well. Installation took about 3 hours.

Unit performs just fine...as expected. And I have used it several times a day (today is 2/24/07).

One of my installers said an aunt of his had been wondering if a stair-lift "was right for her". Said he advised her to go ahead and contact you about getting one...and he would install it for her.

A dozen or more friends have seen and used our new stair-lift...and all were very favorably impressed with the quality, appearance and performance of it. No adverse comments at all.

Walking has been progressively more difficult for me this past year or so. Wish I had installed this when stair-climbing first became a problem. So glad I now have have it. Makes going up-stairs "no problem" once again.

The Summit stairway lift was designed by a four-man team to make sure nothing was missed.
Safety edges
Footrest safety sensors stop the lift in either direction should it strike anything on the stairs. The seat is equipped with a seat belt and a safety switch that prevents the unit from running unless the seat is in its proper position. The aircraft cable has mechanical and electrical safeties to stop the lift in place and shut down the power if the cable is not at its proper tension. Limit switches shut the unit off in the same place at the top and bottom of the stairs automatically. This is our way of offering you and your family members peace of mind regarding your safety.

2. Comfort
The Summit stairway lift has a wide, thick, padded seat available in vinyl or rich, leather upholstery that folds up when not in use. The large rocker switch on the arm of your choice and a 180-degree swivel seat make using the lift simple.

A magazine rack was added to make sure every consideration was given to meeting your needs. The fold-up footrest adjusts to two different levels to suit your needs, and the backrest has three different positions to make sure you are as comfortable as when you are sitting in your favorite chair. 3. Reliability
Each part of the Summit stairway lift has been designed to make sure you can depend on your lift when you need it most.

Little things have been added such as a power indicator light on the track assuring you that unit is ready to use. The aircraft cable in the drive system is rated 4,200 lbs. breaking strength. A spare fuse is under the 115-volt plug so you can replace it yourself if necessary. The motor and gear have been tested in excess of 30,000 cycles – 16 years of use – and neither showed excessive wear.

4. Flexibility
The Summit stairway lift can be placed on either side of a staircase, and the unit control can be placed in either arm.

By adding or cutting the track, you can modify the length of the unit should you ever need to relocate. Standard call controls are mounted on the floor at each end of the staircase and can be foot operated or can be placed on the wall and operated by hand. Either location allows you to call the lift to you regardless of where the lift is on the track. This flexibility enhances the resale of the lift – and yes, the warranty is transferable should you decide to resell your lift! 5. Low Maintenance
Occasionally lubricating the track is the only maintance required.

Unlike most lifts that have gearboxes with vent plugs, the gearbox on the Summit Lift is completely sealed, preventing the possibility of oil leaking onto your carpet. Virtually all other lifts also use gear racks and pinion gears (rack and pinion) to drive the lift. These must be lubricated with dust-collecting grease to prevent damage from occurring. Summit Lifts believes dust collecting greases belong in your garage - not in your home.
6. Security
Why use eight rollers when four will work? Why make the parts ourselves when purchasing them overseas is cheaper? Why use an aircraft cable strong enough to tow a car?

Why test each lift before it is shipped? Why use UL and CSA listed components on all electrical components? Why hand-assemble each piece? Why used standard off-the-shelf parts allowing you to service the lift yourself once the warranty is up?

Because Summit Lifts refuses to have the quality of their lift surpassed by anyone.
